The Beggar’s Opera, directed by Robert Carsen will open at the Edinburgh International Festival on August 16th 2018, and follows a highly successful partnership in 2017 between Scottish Opera and the KT Wong Foundation to present Mark Anthony Turnage’s Opera Greek. The KT Wong Foundation’s ongoing partnership with the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord is supporting the new production directed by Robert Carsen in an updated version in English written by Ian Burton and Robert Carsen. The KT Wong Foundation is exclusive co-production partner for the entire run.
