Director Daniel Evans introduces The Light In The Piazza

Saturday, June 1st, 2019

This summer the six-time Tony Award winning musical The Light In The Piazza comes to Royal Festival Hall. Set in Florence during the summer of 1953, this heart-wrenching love story invites us into the world of Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara, played by four-time Grammy winner and Tony nominee Renée Fleming and film and television star Dove Cameron, respectively

When a fateful gust of wind whisks Clara’s hat into the hands of local dreamer Fabrizio Naccarelli, the seeds of a romantic story are sown, but then Cara isn’t quite what she appears to be.

In this short video, the show’s director Daniel Evans gives a short preview of what to expect from The Light In The Piazza.
